Restroom Facilities Ltd., a leader in the design, manufacture and delivery of permanent, modular buildings for the Parks & Recreation industry worldwide is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CorWorth Building Systems LLC and today announces the relocation of their manufacturing, sales, engineering, and corporate headquarters from Reno, Nevada to Marble Falls, Texas thanks to the assistance of the Marble Falls Economic Development Corporation.
CorWorth is entering into a lease/purchase agreement with the EDC for the 77,000 square foot 1707 Colt Circle building and will combine the operations of Restroom Facilities Ltd with another of its operating subsidiaries, CorWorth Monitoring Systems. CMS installs and monitors proprietary systems to manage utility costs, control building access, and monitor other aspects of Parks & Recreation facilities thus reducing maintenance costs and making them more energy efficient, safer and more pleasant for public use.
Restroom Facilities Ltd., originally based in Texas, has roots dating back to 1976 and has long been a pioneer in the development and design of public restrooms, concession stands, storage facilities, and other buildings prone to excessive wear and tear from public use, vandals, and severe weather. The Company’s extensive customer list includes cities, states, school systems, national parks, state parks, military installations, and golf courses located all over the US and even in Antarctica. The Company expects to begin production very soon on a large project for a customer in South Africa and has plans to market similar buildings in Asia and South America.
Howard Worthing, President & CEO of CorWorth said, “As the general manager of this company back in the 80’s and 90’s, we basically created a new industry to serve clients needing permanent, stand-alone, public restrooms. Today, we continue to develop new products, processes and features and can’t wait to unveil our latest innovations from our new home in Marble Falls.”
“We are thrilled to partner with the EDC in this move and are already hiring local trades & crafts professionals,” said CorWorth Chairman Steve Dawson. “Texas is not
only a more central location, it has the best and most talented labor pool in the world! It’s good to have this business back home in Texas.”
Christian Fletcher, Executive Director of the EDC commented, “We feel very strongly about the benefits that CorWorth brings to the Marble Falls community. Their products, workforce development programs, innovative approach—and, above all, their people—make this partnership decision an easy one.”
The Company has already initiated its move and has a team from Marble Falls in training at its Reno facility this week. CorWorth anticipates beginning operations at the Colt Circle facility by early to mid-February and will be interviewing candidates with experience in all building trades & crafts, drafting, project management, office support, and purchasing beginning February 6th. Prospective employees are encouraged to visit jobs.corworth.com. Early production activities will require at least 30 full-time employees; this number is expected to double by the end of the year.
