Last week, the EDC finalized the transactions related to the Downtown Real Estate Project. Our next step will be to kick off the project plan and scope with a workshop after tomorrow’s regular board meeting. Both meetings are open to the public—the board meeting starts at noon, and the workshop starts at 1:30. Subsequent meetings on the project will likely follow more of a town-hall format.
The EDC is involved in this project to further the Downtown Master Plan and connect two of our community’s greatest assets, the Historic Main Street District and Lake Marble Falls. The parameters for development and open space improvements are fairly broad, so I’d like to hear from you about your priorities for that area.
