Housed in an 1880s grist mill and cotton gin, the non-profit Science Mill is a unique place for interactive learning and creative thinking. With a focus on middle and high school students (but with something for ALL ages to enjoy), the Science Mill is designed to spark curiosity, expand scientific understanding and strengthen students’ interest in careers as scientists, engineers, researchers and technology leaders of tomorrow.
Located in the heart of Johnson City and just one hour from Austin and San Antonio, we look forward to hosting field trips, group tours, special programs, camps and events.
The Science Mill will also be open Sunday, Feb. 15 and Monday, Feb. 16 (President’s Day) and continue its regular operating hours of Wednesday-Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 12-4pm.
